Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Titanes (1-1) in San Cristobal on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Reales (4-0) 93-83. The best player for the winners was American guard Nahziah Carter (198-1999, college: Washington, agency: BMS Sport Agency) who scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Quade Green (183-1998, college: Washington, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American Keith Jordan (198-1998, college: SHU) who recorded 16 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Reales are looking forward to face Metros (#6) in Santiago in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Titanes will have a break next round.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Santo Domingo: Leones (#4) and Soles (#8). Leones (1-2) won against visiting Soles (0-3) 83-71. Naturalized American Luis Martinez (198-1984, college: William Pater.) answered with 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for Soles. The game in Puerto Plata was also quite interesting. Indios (3-0) played at the court of Marineros (1-3). Indios managed to secure a 6-point victory 85-79 on Tuesday.
